Wish Garden of Hope
I once wished upon a star
For desires not understood.
Long ago, I thought wishes came from
Being Good
I forget that a wish, like a gift.
Is nurtured with a fertile heart.
I spin a healing jar
Thinking only of others
Meditate inward.
I smile with mischievous intent
A gleam in my eye.
I spy,
An eagle pursued by a crow
A young pigeon fluffed and unaware of
How its feathers will change colors
And his feet will become pink.
Hope comes with
Sprinkles of tears
Salt from the oceans
Swallowed inside.
Shiny crystals of rain along my cheeks.
I laugh out loud
As the stars shine
The future
Begins with me
And never ends with you.
Hope is breathless,
Holds the wind of change.
Hand-held wishes secured
By hearts creation.
I still wish upon a star
No longer wondering who you are.
I am your hope,
As you are mine.
