A mystery that makes me wonder

Rock to pebble to sand to glass
		The ocean’s wear and tear
The moons pull
All while I sleep.
The  rise and fall of breath
Plant’s precious release
Oxygen  giver and taker of life.
The wiggle sperm
That germinates an egg
To permeate walls. 
Cells of division
Sewn together 
Later to unravel.
I wonder at the cosmos
A chaotic, orderly system
That defies my reach.
All while I sleep.
Night comes with dreams
The sparkle of memory flickers
A wink to the unknown
As I rise to a new day
I wonder.
