Life’s Subsets—Math reimagined
I loved the lesson in math about sets and subsets.
Or was it in philosophy or literature that I became
Aware of the ellipses in my life?
Ellipses revolved, opened and closed as if
Each door was permeable like a cell wall.
I wondered how many subsets were within the world
And in the larger set of the universe.
How large did I want to be?
How small was I?
All sets are subsets.
I marvel as they connect.
For this connection is my life.
