Harmonize I close my eyes Open my ears Hear the sounds Of the morning. The rumbling rhythms of Garbage trucks, The swish of a sweeper, The sweet high notes Of a warbler, the ca-cha grackle of the crow. I’ve come to know This song as my greeting. I, in my high-rise, No longer a country bumkin, I wonder about distinctions. What song do people sing? Colors, culture, size, age, We are no different. Our voices, rhythm, tones Across the universe Harmonizes To create life’s musicality.
I'd love to hear you thoughts on my poems and writing. My new book, The Underpainting, will be out in November 2024. Find out more and how to order at http://www.abberolnick.com
